摘要
For the purpose of evaluating the effects of radon and its progeny on the environment from the waste rock piles around Ningyo Toge Works of Power Reactor and Nuclear Fuel Development Corp. (PNC), the radon emanated from the surface of the waste rock piles were measured, and radon concentration, equilibrium equivalent radon concentration, and effective dose out of the sites were estimated by the dispersion calculation. The tracer gas dispersion experiments at the typical waste rock site were carried out, and the validity of the plume model calculation was examined. Consequently, it was confirmed that the effective doses caused by the waste rock piles are less than 1mSv/year, the public effective dose limit, out of the site boundary.
