摘要
The paper presents selected results of experimental tests carried out on surfaces of hard-to-cut materials after dynamic burnishing process by a specially developed tool, using ARS method, based on imaging and analysis of the angular distribution of scattered light intensity. Surfaces of bearing rings made from INCONEL (R) alloy 600, INCOLOY (R) alloy 800HT (R), Titanium Grade 2 (R) and referential material - steel 100Cr6 were used in the tests. The materials were illuminated with a laser light beam of wavelength lambda = 660 nm and optical images of scattered light were acquired. Image analysis was carried out in specialised Image-Pro (R) Plus 5.1 software with a view to obtaining values of selected geometric and photometric parameters, which characterised the condition of the assessed surfaces. The obtained research results confirmed that use of the dynamic burnishing process increases the polish effect of machined surfaces by an average of 17% as well as that the proposed non-contact method can be used for this type of measurements.
