This paper aims to reflect on aphoristic writing from a triad of authors of great relevance to the evolution of the aphorism in the XXth and XXIst centuries: Antonio Machado, Antonio Porchia and Jose Bergamin. The work of these authors is a good starting point to analyze some of the main characteristics of the contemporary Hispanic aphorism.
