摘要
The rapid development of smart cities has prompted the increase of different social and psychological problems. The most common are the problems of social anxiety, isolation, and loneliness. This study has revealed how people's lifestyle in smart cities lead to the social isolation, as the result of increase in the level of anxiety and loneliness. Social isolation of lonely people is connected to factors such as the lack of face-to-face communication and the dominance of virtual communications. This research explores development of an event based social network for introducing face-to-face contact for generating events to overcome social isolation and loneliness in smart cities.
