摘要
The agri-food sector has been greatly affected by market globalization and the Information and Communication Technology revolution, and has witnessed new forms of co-operation and new forms of competition. One of the major challenges that companies in the agri-food industry face nowadays is their transformation from individual players to supply chain links and moreover to members of extended networks. Due to these changes, the element of information, as well as achieving smooth information flow, within agri-food networks has become critical. The paper presents an information architecture framework that deals with the particularities and the problems present in the agri-food industry.
