摘要：
The revolution in analogue sensor technology is discussed. The sensors Plug&Play revolution provides an inexpensive method for improving analogue sensor accuracy and usability that leads to reduce overall configuration time and measurement costs. The latest IEEE 1451.4 smart sensor standard has introduced significant improvements in sensor measurement accuracy, easy-of-use and asset management. The Florida Department of transportation (FDOT) is a prime example of how the sensor Plug&Play revolution is improving the quality and reducing the overall costs of sensor measurements. By storing a sensors parameters electronically, sensors Plug&Play technology allows users to calibrate and characterise individual sensors more precisely.
