An overview of recent research on reverse logistics

Reverse logistics has gained increasing importance as a profitable and sustainable business strategy. It has been practiced in many industries, the effective use of which can help a firm to compete. Therefore it has received a great deal of attention from operation managers and company executives. This paper reviews the recent literature and develops a holistic view of the recent research oil reverse logistics. Definition, network and modes of reverse logistic in enterprise are discussed in the paper. Besides, the quantitative models oil the inventory and network of the reverse logistics in recent years are reviewed, which presents a theoretically grounded framework to help guide future work.
