摘要
Industrial demands for higher productivity rates, requires faster machines that can produce, assemble, or manipulate at higher speeds and should maintain good accuracy. Machining is the method chosen for manufacturing processes in various industries, so that the concept of High Speed Machining (HSM) is most considered. HSM is acceptable without affecting the quality of surface while increasing the machining speed. From the servo drive control perspective, one of the primary requirements in HSM control is proper tracking. In a majority of production machines, ball-screw drive systems are mainly applied for the accurate motion delivery due to their property of achieving accurate position, stiffness and low cost. The motivation for the implementation of fuzzy logic controller is for the accurate tracking of the position of the workpiece of the ball screw drive system. The simulation results are compared with conventional PID controller to prove the effectiveness of the proposed controller.
