Study on methods of eco-environmental water requirement of river

With the development of social *economy, the competition between human and nature has been becoming increasingly serious. The sustainable development of society has been endangered by the over exploitation and pollution of water resource. During the development of society, how to protect the environment and keep human and nature in harmony with each other is very important. The determination of eco-environmental water requirement of river has been widely studied in the research of ecological health maintenance and water resources optimization allocation. Eco-environmental water requirement includes ecological water requirement and environmental water requirement Both of them have different connotations and extensions. They are not only independent relatively, but also related closely. The current research on connation, determination principle and method has been summarized in this paper, several problems existing have been presented., and all of the research will have great significance in the further research on eco-environmental water and the maintenance of river health.
