摘要
A sensing structure based on a thin glass light pipe utilizing surface plasmon resonance excitation at multiple angles and multiple wavelengths is studied theoretically employing the ray-tracing method. On the basis of the theoretical analysis, the sensing structure is optimized for operation in an aqueous environment. Two advantageous configurations of the sensor allowing the measurement of the refractive index of samples at multiple wavelengths and multicomponent chemical sensing are investigated.
