Amplitude and Phase Controllable Transmissive Coding Metasurface for Arbitrary Wavefront Manipulation

摘要
Coding metasurafces have enjoyed an overwhelming development in recent years due to their digital properties in controlling electromagnetic (EM) waves. In this paper, we propose a novel type of amplitude and phase controllable transmissive coding metasurface, in which the patches and slots are integrated together in the unique coding particle, implying to manipulate the amplitude and phase responses independently and simultaneously. We select the coding particles with 1 -bit phase states and continual amplitude states to tailor the EM wavefront arbitrarily, such as sinusoidal and sinc-function profiles. The excellent results indicate the strong EM manipulating ability in actual applications.
