Interview. Plastics in combination with a mix of steel and aluminium, can help designs and lightweight construction be achieved in vehicles. Kunststoffe asked Dr. Wolfgang Wittig, head of Polymer Technology at DaimlerChrysler, for his view of the economic potential that plastics offer as a bodywork material.
