摘要：

Mechanics of Materials is an important basic course in the teaching program in higher vocational education for cultivating civil engineering talents. This course requires that students be good at logical thinking because it has a complete theoretical system. However, students in higher vocational school lack this ability. To address this dilemma and in view of the current development in constructional materials, this paper discusses the methods for teaching this course and concludes that good teaching effect can be achieved by combining multiple teaching methods
