A Novel Current-Mode Biquadratic OTA-C filter

A novel, multifunction, universal high frequency biquadratic filter using dual output OTA is presented. By programming the input nodes of the proposed structure, different types of second order filters are realized. The proposed biquadratic has been transformed to a multifunction third order filter by cascading a first order filter with it. The third order structure implements different butterworth and elliptic filters by configuring the input signals. Q-factor and Cut-off frequency of the proposed filters can be controlled instantaneously by tuning the transconductance of the OTAs. Sensitivity analysis and nonideal effects due to parasitic have been discussed. Theoretical discussion is facilitated with SPICE simulation.
