摘要
The purpose of this article is to conduct a historiographical discussion about a British espionage service during World War II. Works on the "Special Operations Executive" (SOE), a British agency that emerged in 1940, will be analyzed. In this way, we intend to identify the theoretical perspective, the methodology and sources used in these works, as well as to observe how the authors dialogue with each other. Based on this analysis, we intend to present the gaps that historiography has on the topic and raise issues that can be considered in future researches. Studies published between the late 1980s and early 2000s will be analyzed. In addition, we will conduct a dialogue between the authors with theorists in the field of Intelligence to understand how the process of collecting and analyzing information came about from World War II.
