摘要
Z-type hexagonal ferrite ultrafine powders with chemical formulations of (BaxSr1-x)(3)Co2Fe24O41 (x varied from 0.0 to 1.0) have been synthesized by a sol-gel auto-combustion technique. The average particle sizes of the synthesized powders ranged from 2 to 5 mu m. The partial substitution of Ba2+ by Sr2+ led to the shrinkage of the crystal lattices and resulted in changes in the magnetic sub-lattices, which tailored the static and dynamic magnetic properties of the as-synthesized powders. As the substitution ratio of Ba2+ by Sr2+, the saturation magnetization of the synthesized powders almost consistently increased from 43.3 to 56.1 emu/g, while the real part of permeability approached to a relatively high value about 2.2 owing to the balance of the saturation magnetization and magnetic anisotropy field.
