摘要
The Atmospheric Dynamics Mission ADM of the European Space Agency ESA will be the first lidar mission to sense the global wind field from space. It is based on incoherent Doppler lidar technology operating at 355 nm with a dual-channel receiver for aerosol and molecular return. Launch is planned for October 2007 with a 3 years time of operation. An airborne instrument demonstrator is developed for ground and airborne campaigns envisaged in the years 2004 to 2006. An overview of the ADM, the campaign objectives and setup and the development of the airborne demonstrator are shown.
