摘要
The potential accession to the euro zone is a very current issue for Poland. Its importance is increased by the consequences of the recent economic crisis that can be seen in the global economy and particularly in the economies of EU member states. The article presents some findings of studies carried out within the research project "Influence of the accession of Poland to the euro zone on international competitiveness and internationalisation of Polish enterprises". It is found that the analysed population of companies is dominated by euro-enthusiasts, who are aware of the opportunities and risks related to the euro area accession. Neutralisation of the risks associated with entering to the euro zone and enterprise ability to take full advantage of it should be supported by deliberate economic policy actions taken by the government. The proposed set of policy recommendations is quite extensive; in the article, the authors highlight only some of them.
