The winter oilseed rape varieties suitable for late sowing - experience of the year 2012/2013

Compliance of optimum sowing date for winter oilseed rape is difficult in the practice. Search of varieties that have high yield at sowing in late August and in September was a research plan for the crop year 2012/2013. The experiments were sown at five locations in the Czech Republic at different altitudes. The results showed that sowing in late August handle all varieties satisfactorily. The highest yield reached a variety SY Cassidy. With the use of sowing in September, the yield for each variety was unstable. The best variety was DK Expower.
