摘要
The service performance of precision parts has close relationship with the surface micro-topography. Aiming at the statistical self-similarity property of parts' surface profile, in the present paper, the fractal theory is applied to describing the ground surface quality in ultrasonic vibration grinding, and the influence of different grinding parameters on the fractal dimension is discussed, at the same time, the relationship between the fractal dimension and the surface roughness is analyzed. The experimental results show that the relationship between the fractal dimension and surface roughness is closely, there is a proportional growth trend between them. And under the same experimental conditions, the fractal dimension of ground surface in ultrasonic vibration grinding is less than that in common grinding. In the last part of the paper, the reliability of surface quality described by the fractal dimension is verified through measurement of the bearing ratio of surface profile.
