Study on the corrosion behavior of Cu-Te series alloys in saturated NH4Cl solution

摘要
The anti-corrosion properties of Cu-Te series alloys in the NH4Cl solution were studied by the method of immersion testing. Combined with SEM and EDS, the anti-corrosion mechanics and behavior were researched. The results showed that Cu-Te(-Mg) alloys were less corroded than pure copper and the corrosion rate of alloys was lower than that of pure copper. The reason is that addition of Te/Mg can decrease non-metal impurities of commercial copper. At the same time, Te\Mg can precipitate as the second phase along the grain boundary of copper, thus retarding the corrosion rate of copper.
