摘要：
Through an investigation into the development of the Teachers' Performance Appraisal System (abbreviated TPAS) in the mainland research-oriented universities, this thesis identifies various drawbacks of the present system, and makes a discussion about how to construct an effective and scientific TPAS in the mainland research-oriented universities within the theoretical framework of Balanced Scorecard theory.
