摘要：

This article, using a qualitative, descriptive study, with bibliographical and documentary research and interpretative analysis, aimed to demonstrate important factors related to the Chinese economy that leaded to significantly change its world position, becoming a paradigm for other developing countries. Compared to the Brazilian economy, it's possible to observe that the main factor for the superior Chinese development was the adoption of a national agenda for the country's strategic insertion in the world system by the implementation of policies directed towards the long-term growth sustained in the expansion of investments in innovation.
