摘要：
A 3D finite element analysis is considered for the purpose of predicting surface settlements. First of all computational results from a step-by-step tunnel installation are shown. Because such a 3D analysis is extremely computer time consuming a new method is presented where the surface settlements can be determined from a simple 3D analysis.
