Two new species, taxonomic notes and a checklist of bagworm moths from Madagascar (Lepidoptera, Psychidae)

Two new species of Psychidae Saphenewis pulehella sp. n. and Tphonia bimaculata sp. n., and the unknown female of Tphonia vadonella (Viette, 1955) and Typhonic.' (Viette, 1956) are described from Madagascar. Sapheneutis pulchella sp" n. is characterized by a distinct white ground colour with several black spots. 76p/Ionia banaculata sp. n. is described from a female and has a brownish ground colour with two distinct dark spots on the fore wings. The two species are compared with all the known species of Naryciinae and Typhoniinae of Madagascar. Typhonic'.s.eyrigiella (Viette, 1954) comb. n., Typhonia alluaudiella (Viette, 1954) comb. n., Typhonia decaryella (Viette, 1955) comb. n. and liphonia fibriculatella (Viette, 1956) comb. n. are transferred from the genus Melasina Boisduval, 1840 to Tphonia Boisduval, 1834. A checklist or all Psychidae known from Madagascar is provided.
