摘要
Economies are changing for the better with the evolution of technology and today, it is faster and cheaper to process data than before. Data in the 21st century reinforces all activities and is an enabler of growth in the wider economy. This paper explores big data in the public sector and buttresses the need for data-driven e-Government as the next phase of public service modernization which entails utilizing data produced from e-Government applications and information systems. By harnessing the power of data coupled with machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) techniques, a data-driven strategy poses to be an essential to approach in moving towards a smart citizen-centric e-government. The possibility of building a true citizen-centric public sector can be enabled by a smart and proactive government which is realized in a data-driven e-Government model. In this article, we provide an overview on the emergence of big data analytics of public sector e-services in governance
