摘要
The paper compares the economy of milk in the Czech Republic with the countries of the Visegrad Group and neighboring Austria. The paper evaluates the impact of subsidies on the milk economy and the influence of other factors, such as the work of family members on farms. Individual countries are compared in a given period in terms of several factors. The time period represents the years 2005 to 2014 or 2015 (in the case of the Czech Republic). In the case of the Czech Republic, more detailed information is available on the structure of dairy sales and subsidies for dairy farms. Dairy farms and subsidies are divided into size categories according to the EU classification. The paper is based on the use of secondary data. Information for this article was obtained mainly from the database of agricultural accounting data, the Statistical Office of the European Union and the Institute of Agricultural Economics and Information in the Czech Republic.
