Policy aspects of the digital readiness of higher education in Hungary in connection with the OECD report on digital transformation of higher education in Hungary

摘要
Due to the development of digital tools in the information society, all aspects of society are constantly changing, including the civil sphere and the process and methods of education and learning. The digital and online world and the daily lives of our citizens are constantly changing, these are affecting the lives of all of us. Among the key measures of the Hungarian government is the improvement of the digital readiness of society, the digitization of higher education, these are also reflected in the Digital Education Strategy and the Shifting of Gears in Higher Education Mid-Term Policy Strategy. This article summarizes the situation of Hungary in relation to the digitization in higher education system and analyzes the policy environment and policy reforms supporting the digitization of higher education in the context of the OECD 2021 report on Supporting the Digital Transformation of Higher Education in Hungary. The article points to the need to implement reforms and a related funding system that will guide the digitalisation of education on the one hand and ensure the quality of digital education in higher education institutions on the other.
