摘要
This paper propose a new load voltage regulation method for an isolated single-phase ac-to-dc converter with power decoupling operation. The power decoupling operation has originally been proposed to achieve a unity displacement power factor in the line current. However, the unity displacement power factor operation can regulate the load voltage in a limited operating power range, and the load voltage decreases especially under a light load condition. The proposed control method does not compensate the leading current due to filter capacitors and make it possible to regulate the load voltage at a constant level in a wider power range. As a result, the proposed control method realizes an effective load voltage regulation with a higher power conversion efficiency by a 100-V, 300-W experimental setup.
