摘要
Tourism resources are the basis of tourism industry which play a vital role in the sustainable development of tourism industry. The process of tourism development has proven that: the development of tourism resources is more an ethical issue than a scientific one. Man has to think about the model of economic development when facing the deteriorating, global environment. Ecotourism comes into existence in this background. More than 30 years of practice shows that the development of ecotourism has achieved remarkable results and its ideas. have gained world-wide attention and recognition. However, as a new model of development, ecotourism resources exploitation should be examined from philosophical height and angle in order to internalize the concepts into stakeholders' conscious behaviors in practice. Confucianism is the fruit of Chinese philosophical wisdom. Based on "Oneness between man and nature", Confucian ecological ethics ideology advocates that rulers should be benevolent to the people and all the creatures on earth as well in order to harmonize heaven, nature, man and all things into an integrity. Nowadays, the concept of "harmonious symbiosis and co-evolution of man and nature" promoted by Confucianism is of significance in guiding tourism industry development.
