The Principal Dimensions Optimization of Large Ships Based on Improved Firefly Algorithm

摘要
Aiming at the principal dimensions optimization for large ships, we construct mathematics model, and propose an improved firefly algorithm. Firstly, the fitness is calculated, according to which, the firefly is divided into three populations; and then the elite strategy is used to realize the variable step mechanism to strengthen the elite individual's convergence speed; afterwards, Levy flight rules are introduced in to improve the firefly's position update formula to prevent the search from stagnating in the later stages of the iteration; later on, the negative reinforcement strategy is added. Finally, this paper compares the improved firefly algorithm, the standard firefly algorithm, and the particle swarm algorithm. The results prove that the improved firefly algorithm has better optimization performance in the principal dimensions optimization of large ships.
