EFFECT OF ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION IN UNIVERSITIES ON NATURAL CONNECTION AND PRO-ENVIRONMENTAL BEHAVIOUR

In consideration of the safety of students and their unfamiliarity with the natural environment, modern parents would prohibit children from exploring the outdoor natural environment and gradually let children stay away from nature to interrupt the connection between students and nature. The lifestyle will lead to low physical activity to not only result in negative psychological and social effects but also cause physical and mental health problems, lack of creativity and imagination, and even lower quality of life. This study takes universities in Jiangsu Province as empirical objects, with 202 students as experimental objects, to carry out environmental education experimental research. The experimental teaching research is carried out for 15 weeks, 3 h a week (45 h in total). According to the results, the conclusion is put forward, hoping to make the society pay attention to students' outdoor experience in nature, improve students' natural connection and pro-environment behaviour, and develop their emotions in a balanced way to become optimistic, enterprising and healthy students.
