摘要
The article presents the relevant problem of modern higher school-forming the ability of lecturers to use information and communication technologies in the educational process of institutions of higher education. It is offered the authors' experience of implementing the permanently functioning workshop "Information and Communication Technologies in the Educational Process of Institutions of Higher Education", created for the lecturers, its structure and content, the course objectives, implementation peculiarities, teaching methods and techniques, teaching materials, additional forms of work and expected learning outcomes. Taking into account the scientific achievements of modern researchers, it is noted that one of the conditions for successful realization of educational tasks is solving the problem of training lecturers to use information and communication technologies in their professional activity, to form professional and general information culture, ICT competence, which will promote comprehensive development of pedagogues, their desire to learn throughout life, understanding of information and communication processes, their improving professional skills and will improve the quality of education. It is emphasized that mastering the subject content of the permanently functioning workshop by the lecturers helps to form and improve the general (mastery of computer and information culture, awareness of the value of subjective position in the information space, etc.), general-professional (knowledge and use of rational methods of searching and storing information in modern information arrays; possession of the skills of working with various types of computer equipment; abilities to transmit information on the Internet; possession of the skills of organizing and conducting classes with computer and internet technologies; abilities to organize independent work of students using ICT; possession of the skills in using computer Internet technologies for teaching subjects), special (the ability to choose reasonably and effectively use ICT for personal and professional development, etc.) competences. The work of the permanently functioning workshop on the theme of "Mental Cards as a Way of Organizing Information" is presented.
