Electron paramagnetic resonance of Mn2+ in Cs(2)M(SO4)(2).6H(2)O (M=Mg, Zn, Co, Ni) single crystals

摘要
X-band electron paramagnetic resonance measurements are reported on single crystals of Cs(2)M(SO4)(2).6H(2)O (M = Mg, Zn, Co, Ni) doped with Mn2+ ions at 290 K and 77 K. Mn2+ substitutes for divalent cation sites. The spin-Hamiltonian parameters are evaluated. The observation regarding the temperature dependence of linewidth in cobalt salt is discussed in terms of the host spin-lattice relaxation narrowing. The anisotropic and field dependent linewidths of Mn2+ in nickel salt are discussed in terms of the spin quenching ideas.
