摘要
A retrospective study was carried out on 58 patients with oral squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) treated by neo-adjuvant therapy with intra-arterial infusion of platinum derivatives (cisplatin and carboplatin) and Co-60 20 Gy of radiotherapy and followed by radical surgery. Eight patients having recurrence within one year (R group) was compared with remaining 50 patients without recurrence within one year (NR group). Histological findings before treatment were judged by Jakobsson's grading of malignancy and effectiveness of the preoperative treatment was judged by Shimosato's classification on resected materials. R group showed higher malignancy score of histological findings before treatment, especially of tumor-host relationship score, and poorer response of histological findings to the preoperative treatment than NR group.
