Measurement Research on Urban Niche

On the basis of combing the theory of urban niche, this paper defined the concept of urban niche and concluded its features. By combining the method of frequency statistics, theoretical analysis and expert consultation, this paper selected several different measure indicators, using the factor analysis of SPSS17.0, deconstructed urban niche into three dimensions, which are the living standard, the production potential and the resources and environment, this three dimensions are respectively composed by seven, six and two indicators. According to calculation formula of urban niche, this paper calculated the urban niche of 31 different provinces in China.
