Estimating the coherence length in the electron-doped superconductor Nd2-xCexCuO4+δ

The low-temperature upper critical field is measured for single crystal Nd2-xCexCuO4+delta with different values of x and nonstoichiometric disorder (delta). The coherence length for pair correlation xi and the product k(F)xi, where k(F) is the Fermi wave vector, are estimated. It is shown that the parameter k(F)xi congruent to 100 for these single crystals, so that, phenomenologically, the NdCeCuO-system is in the domain of Cooper-pair-based (BCS) superconductivity.
