New Binuclear Co(II)-based Coordination Complex: Crystal Structure and Inhibitory Activity on Peritonitis

摘要
In the present study, a new Co(II)-based coordination complex with the chemical formula of Co-2(PT)(4)(H2O)(3) (1) has been successfully prepared by reaction of Co(NO3)(2).6H(2)O with the ligand of 3-(pyridin2-yl)-1,2,4-triazole (HPT) under hydrothermal conditions in the mixed solution (the volume ratio of methanol and water is 1:4). For the treatment of peritonitis with acute pancreatitis in children, its application values were evaluated with serial biological experiments. Firstly, the bacterial colony numbers of the Escherichia coli after indicated treatment was determined with colony forming unit (CFU) assay. Then, the relative expression of the Escherichia coli survival genes was also measured with real time RT-PCR. Although there are plenty of nitrogen atoms on the ligands of the Co complex, however, only few were observed through molecular docking simulation to form binding interactions with the protein.
