摘要
We propose a novel double heterostructure surface plasmon polariton amplifier (SPPA). This concept is based on surface plasmon polariton (SPP) amplication upon electrical injection and gives a possibility to design deep sub-wavelength metal-semiconductor active plasmonic waveguides integrated on a chip and operating at room temperature.
