Innovation-oriented Management of Technology in Chinese Universities

As a major driving force for the development of production, the application of science and technology in all sectors of society draws more and more attention. In order to play the complete function of science and technology and transform it into productivity rapidly, it's necessary to enhance the management of science and technology. Management of technology is to bring profit to the organization through researching, developing and carrying out new technology, to blueprint and achieve the strategic and operational objectives of the organization. Universities are the principal base to conduct innovative research, and universities have absorbed a large number of talented scientific researchers, which makes the scientific research achievements in colleges and universities tend to be more innovative, proactive and systematic. This article focuses on analysis of the current shortcomings of the management of technology in universities. Then in this basis, adhering to the philosophy "innovation is the core and soul of scientific and technological development", the paper attempts to build the model of innovation-oriented management of technology in universities, and to describe the details in the implementation of the model.
