摘要
This paper presents an integration of a battery support to a single phase grid with a solar PV system. The unique control of multi-functional voltage source converter achieves controlled charging and discharging of the battery. The implemented converter achieves the extraction of maximum power from varying solar PV array further maintaining the battery current control within acceptable limits. The system performs harmonics mitigation and reactive power compensation and feeds active power to the grid. The proposed control exhibits the unique feature of adaptability during disconnection and reconnection of the utility grid from the system during the occurrence of fault and the mitigation of the fault. The controlled operation of the system achieves power leveling and load leveling in the system thus demonstrating the reliability and viability of the system for variety of practical applications. The system is designed for a peak power of 5kW. The reliability of the proposed system is presented through the simulated steady state and dynamic of the system.
