摘要
The sophisticated geophysical characteristics including abundant gas, complex ground stress, many geologic abnormity and frequently seismic events have remarkable impacts on safe mining for Chinese Western Coal Region. Inevitably, there remained many large-scale-mined-out-areas (LSMA) due to highly efficient and rapid mining. The instability of surrounding rock mass due to roof collapsing directly contributed in complex dynamic mining conditions. Applied to site investigation and field instrumentation, tests on strength of bolt and cable, deformation monitoring, acoustic emission (AE) for rock mass pre-failure and destabilization can be performed for dynamic instability early-warning, which would be profitable for safe mining. The determination of regularity remained the respond character and principle. This paper also distinguished quantitatively from different dynamic instability regimes and signal translation of releasing information of roof caving. These provided effective fore-warning indicators for decision-making to control stability.
