摘要：

The use of carbon dioxide in heat transfer was discussed. Carbon dioxide is natural and non-toxic with an ozone depleting potential (ODP) of zero and global warming potential (GWP) of one. It has relatively lower specific volume which results in small size compressors. The ratio of liquid to vapor density is larger than other refrigerants, which eliminates two-phase distribution problems in evaporators. These features of carbon dioxide make it a favorable refrigerant.
