摘要
Against the background of year-long controversies on the subject of teaching analysis, the authors discuss the procedure used by the German Psychoanalytic Association to evaluate teaching analysts. First they enlarge on the lengthy process in which the concept has developed, both in organizational terms and with respect to its content. The description of the assessment procedure itself focuses largely on how the quality of analytic work is assessed but also extends to the specifics of later activity as a teaching analyst and supervisor. Some of the difficulties that can occur in practice are discussed with reference to a fictitious example. Finally, the authors weigh up the strengths and weaknesses of this procedure.
