摘要
A series of red-emitting phosphors Ba2LaV3O11:Eu3+ are synthesized via high-temperature solid state reaction and the selected composition (Eu3+ concentration x = 0.6) was synthesized by the sol-gel method. Powder X-ray diffraction of Ba2La1-xEuxV3O11 (x = 0-1, in steps of 0.1) phosphors reveals that all the compositions are crystallized in the monoclinic structure (space group P2(1)/c). The parent Ba2LaV3O11 compound shows greenish blue emission due to the transition of VO43- ions in the host lattice. All the Eu3+ substituted phosphor compositions show sharp red emission due to electric dipole (D-5(0) -> F-7(2)) transition and the Eu3+ ions occupy the non-centrosymmetric site in the lattice. The Ba2La0.4Eu0.6V3O11 phosphor shows high QY (20.5%) and excellent thermal stability with activation energy of 0.2539 eV under 394 nm excitation. Fabrication of the phosphor with a near UV-LED is done to achieve white LEDs. The obtained results indicate that the presently investigated phosphor has the potential to be used for solid-state lighting. (C) 2019 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
