Coulomb effects on the fundamental optical transition in single-walled carbon nanotubes

摘要
We have investigated the diameter dependence of Coulomb effects on the optical transition in semiconducting single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs). The observed blue shift of fundamental absorption band due to the Coulomb effects becomes larger with decreasing tube diameter, and this result indicates the Coulomb effect plays a more important role for the SWNT with a small diameter.
