摘要
Since the arrival of Europeans in America, a new way of perceiving forests has emerged. The transfer of imaginaries from antiquity and the Middle Ages to the new territories flooded the tropical forests with a new meaning, confining them spatially to the "margins" of the "new world". Over the years, these forests, which demarcated the limits of "civilization", became an undeniable source of resources and sensibilities until today. This leads to the need to generate new approaches to the study of perceptions and emotions around the idea of Nature and landscape in tropical forests. This reflective article aims to provide some notions or approaches for the study of nature and landscape in the Amazon rainforest from the sixteenth century onwards. The concepts of nature and landscape allow us to immerse ourselves in the universe of the sensitive history of the tropical space and function as a tool for the understanding of the imaginaries and representations that emerge as power devices in the Amazon rainforest.
