Use of a modified flatbed scanner for documentation and quantification of thin layer chromatograms detected by fluorescence quenching

In summary, the modified office scanner enabled excellent documentation of chromatograms containing zones that quench fluorescence under λ = 254 nm UV light on layers with a fluorescent indicator. This has demonstrated the ability to quantify pharmaceutical and food samples using the scanner and Sorbfil software.
