摘要
The policy and development of smart grid in Taiwan will be introduced in this study. In Taiwan, the National Energy Program (NEP)-Smart Grid General Project Phase 1 was implemented from 2010 to 2013. Phase 2 was launched in 2014 and slated to continue for five years. The objectives of NEP- Smart Grid General Project are meant to enhance the robustness of the power grid, reduce greenhouse gas emission, increase the penetration rate of renewable energy and develop smart grid industry in Taiwan. This study will introduce the positioning of the Smart Grid General Project among overall smart grid development, the results of Phase 1, and the smart grid technology commercialization process of Phase 2.
