Organic thin-film transistors (OTFTs) can act as multiparametric sensors with remarkable response repeatability and as semiconducting polymer-based sensing circuits. Luisa Torsi at the Università degli Studi di Bari (Italy) and Ananth Dodabalapur at the University of Texas at Austin discuss the properties and limitations of OTFT sensors. © 2005 American Chemical Society.
